What Are Perennial Plants?

Perennials are a huge class of plants that generally have a lifespan exceeding 2 years. They are often seen being used to fill low maintenance borders in traditional cottage gardens. Much unlike annuals, these plants are mostly fully hardy. Despite this, most perennials will die back in Autumn and Winter, usually after the first frost. Not to worry though as they will re-emerge from their root rhizomes in Spring. Plants that die back with no remaining live structure are known to be Herbaceous, these are known as true perennial plants.

These plants are always a good investment for filling up a garden as you will enjoy the performance year after year. We only sell Perennials and have a range that is always expanding.
