Rather unique in appearance to its relative rock cress’ or any other Alpine. Glossy striped green and yellow variegated leaves remain year round with delicate clusters of small white flowers forming from Spring through to Summer. Highly regarded for its ornamental purposes in the rock garden with areas that get a little bit less sun. Ideal in containers, rock walls and patio crevices. Its ground-covering habit helps to control nuisance weeds. Also excellent in wildlife gardens as pollinating insects such as butterflies and bees enjoy the flowers.
Drought tolerant once established and planted into a suitable location. Prefers light shade with dappled or short spells of sun. Does best in well drained soils but generally not fussy about soil content. thrives in most parts of the garden even if neglected so great for novice and young gardeners.
