Jasminum Nudiflorum ‘Winter Jasmine’
Winter Jasmine has been a long running favourite amongst gardeners for decades. It provides some of the earliest and showiest flowers available during the cold months, typically flowering from winter through to early spring. A real season stopper, masses of bright yellow, 6-petalled flowers are formed all along the secondary stems. Deciduous, 3 lobed, pinnate leaves form throughout the growing season and are generally shed before flowering in the colder months. There are no special soil or fertilizing requirements, Winter Jasmine is surprisingly easy to care for. Does well in both moist and dry areas. Performs best in full sun but tolerant of partial shade at the cost of heavy flowering.
With it’s 3×3 meter spread & height this extremely versatile shrub can planted in containers, borders, growing up walls, made as a hedge or even pruned to be a ground-cover. Suitable in cottage and formal garden layouts.
