Leptinella Sqaulida ‘Platt’s Black’
Although it may look like a Fern, Leptinella is actually a member of the Aster(Daisy) family. This variety is known as ‘Platt’s Black’ which is a hardy alpine ground-cover that forms a compact, spreading mat of semi-evergreen foliage. Grows to 10cm tall with hairy, bronze coloured, serrated leaves tipped with a luminous green. Inconspicuous, white ball shaped flowers to 1cm produced in summer.
Excellent as under planting to complement other plants or to fill less habitable spots of the garden such as between walls and pavings.
Provide with a moist but well drained soil in either full sun or partial shade. Pest and disease resistant variety.
