Oenothera Missouriensis – ‘Dwarf Evening Primrose’
RHS – Award Of Garden Merit. Also known as ‘Ozark Sundrops’. This little trailing alpine plant grows to no more than 15cm and is one of the smallest evening primroses, but has -proportionately- the biggest flowers. The herbaceous perennial forms narrow, long green leaves which grow into a dense ground-cover. Flowers are produced in abundance from spring and through until autumn. Rich blooms of bright yellow petals to 4 inches across. A real showstopper in the alpine rockery which will continue to delight for most of the growing season and the years to come. Thrives in well drained, poor soils in full sun.
Easy care and pollinator friendly.
